Funder plus approach in social housing

Cash-First, Dignity and Tenant-Led
Grant funding is important, but on its own it’s rarely enough. At Longleigh Foundation, we take a funder plus approach in social housing, working closely with tenants and delivery partners to make sure support is practical, flexible, and shaped by real-life experience.
This approach means funding comes with relationships, guidance, and understanding, not just a cheque. It allows us to respond quickly when money is tight, design services with tenants’ voices at the centre, and work with trusted partners to strengthen support across communities.
Lunch time webinar in February
We’re hosting a short lunchtime webinar to share what a funder plus approach in social housing looks like in practice. You’ll hear from a delivery partner about shaping services with Longleigh, and from a grantee about the difference flexible, tenant-led support made in their life.
The session will focus on practical lessons, not theory. Attendees will leave with a clear sense of how combining grant funding with collaboration, empathy, and responsiveness can improve outcomes for residents and communities alike.
The webinar is aimed at colleagues working in housing, support services, grant-making, and related sectors. It’s informal, conversational, and very short (around 45 minutes including Q&A).
Our goal is to help people living in social housing thrive on their own terms. Using a funder plus approach in social housing, we invest in services, emergency grants, and research that make a real, lasting difference. This webinar gives a snapshot of that work and shows what happens when funding is paired with support and listening.
