Introducing our 2025–2028 Strategy
Posted on 2nd December 2025

A foundation for purposeful impact
We believe everyone living in social housing should have the opportunity to thrive, on their own terms. Our new three-year strategy sets out how we will work towards that vision. We’re building on the progress we’ve made and exploring new ways to create meaningful, lasting change.
Looking back: Progress and Partnership
Over the past five years, we have reached significant milestones. We expanded our work with funders, researchers and housing providers. We strengthened our systems, improved how we learn, and continued to respond with care, dignity and purpose. In 2024 alone, we awarded more than 550 grants to Stonewater customers.
This foundation means that we are ready to go even further.
Looking ahead: Three years of purposeful action
Our new strategy focuses on three core goals:
- Innovate to deliver even more meaningful impact
We’ll deliver even more meaningful impact through resident-led funding, research, and co-created programmes. Residents will shape the support they receive from the start.
- Increase our reach by diversifying our funding
We’re diversifying our funding base and building stronger relationships with partners who share our values. This sustainable approach will help us support more people in more meaningful ways.
- Equip ourselves to deliver lasting change
We will invest in our people, technology and governance. This includes prioritising staff wellbeing, embedding resident voice in decisions, and ensuring transparent, accountable leadership.
Across all three goals, we will test new ideas, listen to lived experience and learn what works.
Why now?
The needs of the communities we serve continue to evolve, and so must we. This strategy commits us to stay responsive and act with compassion, collaboration and commitment. We’re focused on continuity and evolution. We’re bringing our partners along as we explore what drives real, lasting impact.
A message from our CEO
“Longleigh’s new strategy sets out our focus for the next three years. We want a future where people living in social housing can have the opportunity to thrive on their own terms, and we’ll use our resources to help make that possible.
We’ll champion tenant insight so policies are fairer, back the charities communities rely on, and make sure funds reach people quickly when money is tight.
Our commitment is simple. We back residents. We listen to their expertise, follow their lead, and embed good grant making so that social landlords can keep tenant wellbeing at the centre of their work.
I’m grateful to every resident and partner who helped shape this strategy, and proud of my incredible team for bringing it to life.”
