Season’s greetings to you all. With the end of the year almost upon us, we have taken some time to reflect on a busy and successful 2025 at Longleigh. This year has been shaped by strong partnerships, sector influence and continued support for the work we deliver for social housing residents.

Our 2025 highlights:

  • Changing 717 lives through our individual grants so far this year, with over £616,000 awarded to support Stonewater customers.
  • Introducing updated individual grants criteria modelled by what customers told us they need. The new approach offers more clarity, flexibility and choice, following consultation with 73 grantees.
  • Expanding our financial wellbeing support for Stonewater customers through our renewed partnership with Clean Slate, funded through our Circles of Support programme. The refreshed service brings practical, joined up support to households.
  • Launching our rural housing research with the University of Liverpool, Stonewater and the Fusion21 Foundation during Rural Housing Week in July. The study looks at the barriers that prevent the building and protection of affordable homes, while setting out clear opportunities for housing associations, local authorities and communities. The report has already received strong sector support.
  • Being cited in the reformed Decent Homes Standard consultation and impact assessment for our work on floor coverings and lived experience. Our evidence has helped put resident insight at the centre of national discussions about what should be a basic expectation for new tenancies.
  • Appearing on BBC Breakfast to discuss the lack of flooring in social housing and why it matters. The segment helped bring an important perspective to an issue that often goes unseen.
  • Sharing our learning at key sector events, including speaking at Homes UK on tenant voice and quality, and contributing to discussions at the HACT Community Investment Conference.
  • Launching our new three year strategy, setting a clear foundation for purposeful impact over the coming years.
  • Publishing Tenants at the Table, the preliminary research on the future of a National Tenant Voice. Launched in April and followed by wider sector discussion in June, the report sets out practical steps for a credible national tenant advocacy structure.

Thank you

We are very grateful to everyone who has supported our work, taken part in our research, shared our insights or helped raise awareness of the difference grants make to people’s lives. Your involvement helps us increase our reach and improve outcomes for social housing residents across the country.
