LONGLEIGH ‘LOCKDOWN STORIES’
During lockdown we’ve been holding regular ‘cuppa & chat’ video meetings with community-based projects that we’ve funded. The purpose in the meetings was to give the leaders of these projects a safe space to share concerns and hopes, get practical ideas from others and to make new friends and connections.
The meetings have done all this, and more. It’s been great to hear about the creative relationships being formed that go way beyond what Longleigh can, or should, facilitate.
As the meetings have gone by, it became clear that each organisation had their own ‘lockdown story’ and so we wanted to give a platform for these stories to be shared. Over the coming weeks and months, you’ll able to read and watch a number of these stories, all crafted by the organisations themselves so what you get is their honest thoughts.
We’re really proud of the resilience and courage shown during the pandemic of the organisations that we’re in partnership with. And, we’re humbled by the ways in which they have continuously looked at how they do more and do better for the people and communities they’re committed to serving and supporting.
We hope you enjoy and value these stories…
