Longleigh’s impact January – August 2025
Posted on 25th September 2025
From January to August 2025, Longleigh Foundation has supported 477 people with over £422,000 in grants. Access to our Individual Grants means Stonewater customers manage challenging situations and make practical changes in their lives.
The difference these grants make is best explained by those we’ve supported:
“These grants really helped me out as I fled domestic violence and had to move to a new area. They provided me with food vouchers and travel money to see my family. I am very thankful.” – Longleigh grantee, 2025
This support helped someone rebuilding their life after fleeing abuse, covering essential needs and reconnecting with family. When grantees share experiences like this, it shows how timely, targeted support can make a real difference during difficult times.
Our grants cover a wide range of needs, from emergency situations to longer-term support. Here’s a breakdown of the grants provided so far this year:
- 46 Immediate Resettlement Grants
- 24 Critical Incident Grants
- 8 Education, Training and Employment Grants
- 25 Flooring Grants
- 356 Essential Household Items and Services Grants
- 13 Heating and Eating Grants
- 5 Employee Support Grants
Alongside grants, our funded services, Circles of Support, are making a real difference:
- Clean Slate provides money advice, budgeting support and access to benefits, helping people feel more in control of their finances. So far this year, they have supported 231 customers, with an average of 54 referrals a month and average financial gains per person of £1,092.
- KPG offers emotional and mental wellbeing support. It has supported 90 people so far this year and consistently achieves a conversion rate of 80% or higher for people starting counselling.
Our grants and services show the scale of need we are responding to and the difference that targeted support can make. By working closely with Stonewater and partners, our aim is to remove barriers, reduce pressure and help people feel more secure and in control of their next steps.
